I attended this university’s open campus while I was going to Japanese language school, and I was deeply attracted by the warm and friendly atmosphere of the teachers and senior students, which cemented my decision to apply. Since entering the school, I’ve found that there are many practical classes, and as I learn in cooperation with my peers, I realize not only the importance of knowledge, but also the importance of relationships with others. The peaceful campus surrounded by nature is an ideal environment in which to concentrate on learning. In the future, I aim to be involved in creative work such as planning and directing fashion shows, and I want to continue building on all the things I’m learning now.

I was attracted by the university’s warm atmosphere and the closeness between teachers and students, and immediately after attending the open campus I decided to take the entrance exam. While there are many things I still don’t understand, I feel at ease thanks to the Shoin International Learning Center (SILC) and my teachers in the Psychology Department, who are very kind and supportive and offer me advice. It’s a very comfortable environment and I feel confident that I can do my best in my studies at Osaka Shoin Women’s University. In the future, I want to be someone who can listen to and support students like the staff at SILC do. I also want to pursue a career in psychology to understand myself better, and lead a wonderful life that’s uniquely my own.

I first heard about the university when I attended an open campus seminar. I went to the open campus and the teachers and seniors explained to me about the school, and I found the major I wanted to study here. At first I was nervous, but I attended the next open campus and decided to apply. I truly have no regrets choosing this school. Although I was a little worried at first because I didn’t have any Japanese friends, everyone is nice and friendly, and the teachers are very kind. I am going to enjoy doing my best for the next four years.

In the future, I want to work as a link between Japan and my home country, so I decided to go to Osaka Shoin Women’s University. I’ve always loved English, so I chose the Department of English as an International Language. When I attended the open campus before the entrance exam, the university teachers were very kind and friendly, and I felt that this university would be a safe environment to study in. I’m currently learning about the Japanese language and different cultures, and really enjoying my classes every day. My classmates are also friendly and I’ve had many great experiences. The university has beautiful classrooms, lots of facilities, and the quality of teaching is very good, so I’m very satisfied. In the future I hope to work in an international field and engage with people from many different countries.

I have wanted to teach English in Japan since I was a first-year high school student, so I decided to enroll at Osaka Shoin Women’s University, where I can get a teaching license. At first, my mother in Indonesia was against it, but by working hard to get my N3 and showing her how much I wanted to learn, she began to support me. In Japan, I’m working part-time at a fast-food restaurant and trying many different things. On campus, there are Indonesian seniors, facilities to watch DVDs, and volunteer activities you can do, so it’s very fulfilling!

Encouraged by my teacher at the Japanese language school (OBKG) I was attending, I went on a tour of the university with my family.I have an interest in psychology, and I was attracted to the friendly atmosphere of Osaka Shoin Women’s University, so I decided to enroll. As an international student I had some apprehensions, but the teachers and classmates were very kind and I soon felt at ease. I enjoy my classes because I can learn about psychology from familiar themes, and my horizons are steadily expanding. In the future, I want to take up a job where I can support people’s hearts.

While in school, I worked hard at my teacher training program to fulfill my dream of becoming an English teacher. During my teaching practicum, I learned both the challenges and the joys of creating lessons through the experience of teaching classes at junior and senior high schools.
During my second year, I spent four months studying abroad in Australia through the university’s study abroad program, and then four weeks on Cebu Island. While living and studying using English, I not only developed practical English skills but also learned the importance of understanding other cultures. The experience boosted my confidence in English and deepened my desire to become an English teacher.
I also volunteered at a local Japanese language school and taught Japanese to foreigners living in Japan. At first, I was nervous and couldn’t speak very well, but as I gained more experience, I was able to teach in my own style and came to appreciate the importance of giving personalized guidance to each student.
Afterwards, I was able to successfully achieve my dream of becoming an English teacher. Although I’m still nervous, I’m striving to improve little by little with the advice of more experienced teachers, and by continuing to study teaching materials on my own. As an English teacher, I hope to become someone my students can rely on.
